Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking a Nutrition Aide to deliver nutrition services for WIC participants at the Tracy site, reporting to the WIC Program Manager or site Supervisor.

The role involves participant education, nutrition assessment, eligibility determination, voucher issuance, and cross-site collaboration. Occasional travel to other clinics may be required to support program operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nutrition principles.
• Ability to educate and counsel diverse populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to type 35 wpm and provide certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide participant-centered education, nutrition assessment, and counseling for WIC participants.
• Identify high-risk participants and refer to WIC dietitian.
• Determine eligibility of WIC applicants and issue vouchers.
• Translate program information when needed and lead breastfeeding support activities.
• Travel to different sites as needed and participate in staff meetings.
