Florida Department of Health is seeking a Nutrition Educator to certify clients in the WIC program, provide nutrition education, counseling, and breastfeeding support in Sumter County. The role includes documenting assessments in FLWiSE and entering data into HMS and related systems, with travel to outlying clinics as needed.

The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or Dietetics and willingness to travel; experience with nutrition counseling and FLWiSE is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Willing to travel to clinics using your own vehicle.
• Experience completing nutrition counseling, assessments and writing nutrition care plans (preferred).
• Experience working with FLWise (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Certifies clients in Sumter County (Bushnell and Wildwood) for participation in the WIC program.
• Provides nutrition education, counseling and breastfeeding support.
• Documents nutrition assessment and care plans in FLWiSE using SOAP or approved format.
• Enter reports and data into HMS (EAR), People First, and FLWiSE by deadlines.
