Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Program Coordinator II (NS) to join the Division of Child and Family Well-Being in the CNSS. The role coordinates policy on WIC and CACFP, ensures SOPs, manages staff travel, and tracks large-scale project timelines.

The position requires staying current with federal/state regulations and providing organizational support for section management, meetings, and drafting communications. Hybrid onsite work is available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Considerable proficiency in MS Office Applications.
• Ability to apply critical thinking skills to each situation.
• Skill in problem solving and policy/procedure guidance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate policy dissemination for WIC and CACFP and related laws.
• Develop and monitor standard operating procedures and policies.
• Oversee personnel management activities for the section and travel authorizations.
• Monitor changes in Federal and State laws and regulations; track project deadlines.
