Job summary

A & Associates in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, is seeking a long-term, full-time team member to assist with payments, load safety, and customer service. Hours are Monday–Friday 7am–4pm with some Saturdays; shift is 1st shift.

This role involves interacting with customers, performing payment calculations, and ensuring PPE compliance. The candidate will maintain safety standards, handle administrative tasks, and support training and meetings as directed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and zero to four years of previous experience.
  • Preferred: High school diploma or GED, plus additional or specialized training, and zero to four years of previous experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers, directs traffic, and answers customer questions accurately.
  • Correctly calculates payments for customers.
  • Ensures that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain inappropriate material.
  • Ensures that customers and employees conduct all business safely and wear required PPE.
  • Provides general upkeep of the Scale House.
  • Completes all administrative tasks, including regular filing and required reports.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention.
  • Attends company-sponsored training and meetings as directed.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including data entry and minor customer service responsibilities.
  • Approaches all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

I. Job Summary

Calculates payments, checks loads, and ensures the safety of the customer and other employees through observation of safety rules and regulations.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work Environment
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (e.g., keyboarding, machine operation) during part of the workday.
  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, occasionally.
  • Required to be exposed to an environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements during part of the workday.
