Job summary

DCM Infotech Limited in Philadelphia, PA, onsite, seeks a WLAN testing specialist. The role focuses on validating 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax networks, security configurations (WPA2/WPA3/802.1X), and advanced features like 802.11k/802.11v.

You will design test beds, build automation for tests, and analyze performance using Wi-Fi sniffers and RF equipment. The ideal candidate will have Linux experience, coding skills in any language, and hands-on use of tools such as Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent, OmniPeek,

Qualifications

• Experience on WLAN protocols like 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
• Experience with security protocols such as WPA2, WPA3, 802.1X.
• Experience on Wi-Fi extenders, mesh and steering related protocols such as 802.11k, 802.11v.
• Good knowledge of test bed design and designing test strategies.
• Someone who can develop tools on Wi-Fi testing.
• Experience on Linux and good coding experience – any language is ok.
• Good knowledge and analysis capabilities with Wi-Fi sniffers/packet capture tools.
• Experience of throughput, performance, stability, stress etc. on WLAN.
• Experience in tools such as spectrum analyzer, Ixia, attenuators, OmniPeek, Wireshark, Spirent, RF equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute WLAN test plans and test cases.
• Develop and automate Wi-Fi testing tools.
• Analyze performance, throughput, stability, and stress on WLAN networks.
• Utilize sniffers/packet captures (Wireshark, OmniPeek) to diagnose issues.
• Work with spectrum analyzers and RF equipment to characterize WLAN behavior.
