Job summary

ACEP Now seeks an Emergency Medicine physician to join a low-volume ER team in Colfax, WA. The role offers flexible scheduling with 12–63 hour shifts and on-call coverage across multiple services.

Epic EMR is used; independent contractor status provides tax efficiency and moonlighting options. Candidates must be BC in Family or Emergency Medicine, possess EM experience, hold a WA license, and maintain ACLS/ATLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• EM experience required.
• Active Washington physician license.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications (FM).

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine coverage at Whitman Hospital and Medical Center.
• Ensure patient care during assigned shifts.
• Comply with hospital policies and safety standards.

Job Details

• Daily ER volume is about 10 patients per day.

Whitman Hospital and Medical Center (WHMC) is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving rural communities as a Public Hospital District. WHMC is a Level V Trauma Designation that focuses on stabilization and transporting to higher levels of care facilities for trauma. The hospital participates closely with Sacred Heart in Spokane via the Tele Robot for Code Stroke patients. There is also tele-psych through Providence.

Physician Requirements
