Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bagging equipment.
• Notify lead person of any irregularities in equipment or product.
• Perform quality control checks as required.
• Complete scanning to the inventory management system.
• Assist co-worker to maintain a smooth flow of packaged product.
• Check for accurate product coding and labeling.
• Maintain accurate and orderly production logs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Assist in other production areas as required.
• Palletize finished whey products as per procedures.
• Perform forklift safety check before operating forklift and inform supervisor of machine defects.
• Operate forklift in a safe manner.
• Assist in training of new personnel.
• Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of the position.
• Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
• Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED Preferred
• Certified in Forklift Operation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to use commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
