Job summary

Lactalis American Group Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Whey Bagger Trainee to support the bagging line. You will operate filling and sealing equipment, monitor product quality, and help maintain a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, handling paperwork, and ensuring correct labeling and bag sealing. This is an entry-level role with weekend work and a standard benefits program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Candidate should have strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
• A valid driver’s license is required for the role.

• Disassembles and reassembles equipment used in bagging operations.
• Follows proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Operates a lift truck.
• Completes paperwork including bag powder log and pallet markers.
• Monitors for abnormalities in texture, color, or odor of the product.
• Checks bags for correct codes and print quality.
• Ensures bags and totes are sealed to specifications.
• Verifies pallet labeling information is correct.
• Keeps a clean, organized work area.
• Notifies supervisor of any unmet specifications promptly.

Whey Bagger Trainee

Location: Buffalo, New York.

Summary

Operates filling equipment and sealing equipment to ensure a smooth, continuous flow of product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and resolves operational/mechanical problems in a timely basis.
• Disassembles and assembles equipment associated with the bagging operation.
• Follows proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Operates lift truck.
• Completes paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, including bag powder log and pallet markers.
• Continuously monitors for abnormalities or inconsistencies in the texture, color, odor of the product.
• Monitors for proper code and legibility of whey bags, abnormalities or inconsistencies in print quality or structure of the bags or totes.
• Ensures bags and totes are sealed to specifications.
• Ensures pallet labeling information is correct.
• Always maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Informs supervisor immediately of any problems regarding unmet specifications.

Days off are Wednesday/Thursday. Weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Previous food/dairy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Applicants must have good analytical and mathematical skills.
• Valid Driver’s license is required.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma/GED required.
