The DC Army National Guard seeks a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to keep wheeled equipment road-ready. You will supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations in both the field and shop settings.

Duties include inspecting, servicing, repairing, testing, and replacing systems and components, plus electrical harness work and charging systems. Training will prepare you for civilian mechanic roles with hands-on pay during Army training.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers, and material handling equipment systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and starting/charging systems.
