Job summary

Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers is hiring a Wheel Refurbishing Technician for our Wilkes Barre, PA facility. The role involves steam cleaning, steel wheel refurbishing, rust removal, and painting to customer specifications.

Training will be provided, no prior experience required, and a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment. The position offers starting pay of $21.50 per hour with weekly pay and opportunities for overtime; walk-in interviews are welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• No relocation offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform wheel refurbishing processes including steam cleaning wheels of foreign materials and shot blasting to remove rust and paint.
• Inspect wheels for unsafe conditions and approve or disapprove products.
• Paint wheels with specialty paints and colors for customers.
• Maintain inventory to ensure correct product delivery to customers.
• Follow safety guidelines and operate with protective equipment.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks including lifting, standing, bending and squatting for extended periods.
