Job summary

Wheat Marketing Center is seeking a seasonal Laboratory Assistant for wheat testing and project support from July through September, working with the Operations Manager and Lab staff.

Duties include assisting with wheat and flour analyses, supporting Bake Lab and Pilot Scale lines, and preparing crop quality samples and data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, reliability, and ability to work in a team are required; US work authorization and a drive to learn.

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required.
• Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be reliable and prompt.
• Must have legal status to work in the U.S.
• Strong work ethic; ability to work without supervision as well as in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, and existing Laboratory Assistants for wheat and flour analytical tests.
• Support in research project process including assisting the technical team in the Bake Lab and Pilot Scale Lines (Cracker Line, Asian Noodle Line, Tortilla Line).
• Support the Crop Quality Process.
