Reason Brand Inc. in New York, NY seeks a dynamic Whatnot host to own our channel from our Midtown office. This role is part-time to full-time, paying hourly plus commission, and requires real on-camera energy that resonates with streetwear culture.

You will host shows, manage planning, and grow followers while coordinating with warehouse and Shopify to keep orders accurate and customers satisfied. Evening/weekend availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience selling on Whatnot with measurable results.

• Deep knowledge of streetwear, sneakers, and drops.
• Comfort with streaming gear and software and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Whatnot's scheduling, auctions, promotions, and analytics.
• Reliable with on-time starts every show.

Responsibilities

• Host scheduled live shows from NYC office, including evenings and weekends.
• Plan each show: product selection, run of show, and decide on auction vs buy-it-now, starting bids, giveaways, and flash sales.
• Grow followers, show attendance, and repeat buyers.
• Set up and run the tech: camera, lighting, audio, OBS or similar streaming software, multi-cam if needed, and fix problems mid-show.
• Manage listings and inventory between Whatnot and Shopify so nothing oversells.
• Work with the warehouse so orders ship on time and the seller rating stays high.
• Handle buyer chat, questions, and post-show issues.
• Promote shows on Instagram, TikTok, and other socials before and after going live.
• Track and report weekly: GMV, average viewers, conversion, sell-through, and returns, plus what you'll change next week.

About us

We're a NYC streetwear and apparel company with our own brands and licensed collaborations. We move fast, we're social-first, and we already run live shows on Whatnot with Shopify fully connected. We need someone to own the channel and grow it.

The role

You'll be the face and the operator of our Whatnot channel. You'll host the shows, build the audience, and run the backend. This is not a read-the-script host job. We want someone who already knows how Whatnot works and has a real on-camera personality that fits streetwear culture, whether that's hype, deep product knowledge, or old-school sneaker shop energy.

What you'll do

• Host scheduled live shows from our NYC office, including evenings and weekends when the audience is there
• Plan each show: pick product, set the run of show, and decide on auction vs. buy-it-now, starting bids, giveaways, and flash sales
• Grow followers, show attendance, and repeat buyers, and know which levers move each one
• Set up and run the tech: camera, lighting, audio, OBS or similar streaming software, multi-cam if needed, and fix problems mid-show
• Manage listings and inventory between Whatnot and Shopify so nothing oversells
• Work with the warehouse so orders ship on time and the seller rating stays high

What you need

• Proven experience selling on Whatnot as a host or seller, with numbers you can show us (GMV, followers, show stats)
• A strong on-camera persona that fits streetwear and can hold a room for 2+ hours
• Real knowledge of streetwear, sneakers, and current drops
• Comfort with streaming hardware and software, and the ability to troubleshoot on your own
• Understanding of Whatnot's tools: show scheduling, auctions, giveaways, seller analytics, and promotion features
• Reliability. Shows start on time, every time.

Nice to have

• An existing Whatnot or social following
• Experience with Shopify inventory and order management
• Video editing for clips and promo content

Pay

$25 - $28 per hour, plus commission on net sales from your shows. Commission terms will be set out in a written agreement.
