Job summary

Position SummarySouthern Beverage Company is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Warehouse Associate to join our warehouse operations team. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for building customer orders, moving products throughout the warehouse, and ensuring accurate and timely shipment preparation. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and company values.Duties, Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredInteract with supervisors and other warehouse employees, exchanging information related to immediate tasks and operational needs.Build customer orders accurately and efficiently as an Order Builder.Prepare shipments for customer delivery according to company standards.Operate an electric pallet jack to move products throughout the warehouse.Maintain productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Regularly lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds regularlyConstantly bend, twist, reach, and maneuver while operating an electric pallet jack and retrieving products from lower shelf locations throughout the workday.Contribute to a safe work environment through continuous attention to housekeeping and workplace safety.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.Demonstrate a strong commitment to Southern Beverage Company's core values and company culture.Follow all company policies, warehouse procedures, and safety guidelines.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.Must remain drug-free and be subject to pre-employment, random, and post-accident drug testing in accordance with company policy.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous warehouse, order selecting, or beverage distribution experience preferred.Experience operating an electric pallet jack required.Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening, if required.Physical RequirementsAbility to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull 25 pounds or more.Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and reach for extended periods.Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including an electric pallet jack.Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
