Apex Companies is seeking an Associate Project Manager – Wetland Scientist to join our growing environmental team in Texas. The role offers exposure to stormwater compliance, permitting, environmental reporting, and project management while building on wetland and natural resources experience.

Ideal candidates hold a geology or environmental science degree with 5+ years in field sampling and wetland work, plus strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in environmental work.
• Experience with environmental field sampling, monitoring, and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities with health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, scientists, and clients to meet project goals.
• Inspect stormwater control measures for regulatory compliance at sites.
• Conduct wetland delineations per USACE guidelines.
• Perform stream assessments and aquatic resource evaluations.
• Conduct habitat assessments and biological surveys as needed.
• Maintain field records and environmental investigation documentation.
• Analyze data and prepare concise technical reports and findings.
• Support compliance and due diligence projects for clients.
• Develop proposals and manage project budgets under supervision.
