Job summary

Western Hydro is seeking a full-time driver/warehouse associate in the Livermore area. You will load and unload trucks, secure loads, and maintain vehicle equipment to ensure safe operations. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and comply with DOT regulations.

Compensation includes a $25.00 hourly wage, a quarterly safety bonus program, annual merit increases, and 20 days of time off in the first year (PTO plus holidays).

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must maintain an acceptable MVR.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 years.
• Must pass DOT medical examination.
• Must consent to pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and/or trailers; secure loads per regulations and safety practices.
• Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly as part of daily duties.
• Assist in branch warehouse and yard inventory tasks.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment for safe operation.
• Verify contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Submit receipts and cash for deliveries.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Report delays or accidents to base or other drivers.
• Remain adaptable to traffic, weather, and other situations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• No record of citation or conviction of any DUI / DWI within the previous 5 years
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen

Compensation

  Job Details

  • Load and unload trucks and/or trailers. Properly secure loads in accordance with state/federal regulation and common safety practices
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
  • Assist in other duties at the branch, including warehouse and yard inventory responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
  • Submit receipts and money received from deliveries
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to base or other vehicles
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Maintains company gas card, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance; also, responsible for ensuring Driver License and Medical Certificate are current and on person at all times while driving a company vehicle
