Job summary

LCMC Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to provide expert imaging services in support of our mission to deliver high‑quality care to the New Orleans community and beyond.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, reviewing scans with radiologists, ensuring patient safety and identity verification, and maintaining clean, ready-to-use exam areas. CPR/BLS and ARRT licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Radiologic Technologist program.
• CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ARRT licensure via LSRTBE required.
• Day shifts; United States location.

Your job is more than a job. LCMC Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to provide expert imaging services as part of our mission to deliver high‑quality care to the New Orleans community and beyond.

General Duties

• Demonstrate satisfactory working knowledge of PACS and review scans with radiologists to identify anatomic detail and abnormalities.
• Confirm patient identity, body part, and body side before each procedure.
• Administer patient care practices to ensure safety, including obtaining clinical history/informed consent and explaining procedures to patients/families.
• Recognize and address clinical or emergent problems that may interfere with exams, taking appropriate action.
• Respond to and follow up on critical test findings.
• Acquire and evaluate patient lab values (e.g., BUN, CR, pregnancy, glucose) when applicable.
• Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas clean, safe, and stocked.
• Perform equipment inspections daily for hazards and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Participate in department QC and PI programs, following up on all deficiencies.
• Practice aseptic techniques and wash hands before and after each patient contact; wear film badge while on duty.
• Record requisition data accurately and legibly; perform other routine clerical duties.
• Input and verify all data in PACS/RADIANT.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Appropriate clinical training in a Radiologic Technologist program and previous healthcare experience as a radiology technologist.
• Required: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (CPR, BLS) – American Heart Association.
• Required: Radiology Technician (ARRT) – Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE).
• Shift: Days (United States of America).
