Job summary

Rewiring America is seeking a Policy Manager for the West to shape state and regional policy advancing electrification and distributed energy deployment in CO, OR, and WA. You will lead campaigns, develop policy analyses, and coordinate cross‑functional efforts.

The role requires deep regional policy knowledge, strong writing, project management, and a track record in climate policy or related advocacy. Expect engagement with coalitions and traveling for key meetings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of legislative work experience including direct policy/advocacy in climate or building electrification
• Strong writing and communication skills for diverse audiences
• Connections in at least two of the states Colorado, Oregon, Washington
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and cross-functional teams
• Commitment to Rewiring America’s mission and values

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute policy campaigns in priority states with a Senior Manager of Regional Policy
• Serve as the expert on policy and political landscape for Colorado, Oregon, and Washington
• Cultivate relationships with external partners and present thought leadership in coalitions and policy venues
• Support grant reporting through documentation of policy developments
• Track regulatory and legislative actions and develop policy recommendations
