Job summary

GLOVIS America, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver to move and park vehicles safely within our logistics operations. You will support multiple shifts, follow strict handling procedures, and ensure accurate reporting of vehicle conditions and locations.

The role requires flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and holidays, with on-site work in Georgia. You will train across departments and contribute to efficient, safe vehicle processing and movement.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to cross-train in other departmental needs.

• Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to drive both automatic and straight-shift vehicles.
• Demonstrated mechanical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drives new finished-product vehicles to designated locations.
• Drive and park vehicles in accordance with the Transportation & Handling Manual.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure damage-free condition before driving.
• Follow Port traffic policies and posted speed limits.
• Report unsafe conditions or road hazards to management.
• Document vehicle problems and report to management when needed.
• Read and understand parking location maps.
• Prepare vehicles for various stages of processing.

Summary

The Shuttle Driver's role is to conduct safe and efficient vehicle movement/parking under the direction of the Supervisor and the Team Leader. They will also conduct preparations on new factory condition vehicles for various stages of logistics processing.

Responsibilities

• Primary
  
  
  
  • Drives new finished-product vehicles to designated locations
  
  
  • Drive and park vehicles in accordance with the Transportation & Handling Manual
  
  
  • Drivers must have the stamina to sit for several hours at a time, and the hand-eye coordination to operate their vehicles while watching their surroundings to maximize safety
  
  
  • Maintain constant contact with the Team Leader and keep track of pickup and drop-off locations as necessary
  
  
  • Prior to driving vehicles, inspect vehicles to ensure that it is damage-free and functioning correctly
  
  
  • Must follow all Port traffic policies and posted speed limits
  
  
  • Any unsafe conditions or road hazards encountered must be reported to management
  
  
  • If their vehicle develops mechanical difficulties or sustains damage of any type, drivers must document the problems and report to management
  
  
  • Read and understand parking location maps

  • Remove trash from vehicles
