Job summary

A leading environmental consulting firm in Kirkland, WA is seeking a motivated Water Quality Consultant to support hydro quality projects. The role requires fieldwork and data analysis with responsibilities including water quality monitoring and technical reporting. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Fish & Water Science, or a related natural resource discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of professional experience in water quality monitoring, aquatic ecology, or environmental studies.
• Proficiency in data analysis and management tools; experience with ArcGIS (Pro, Online, Field Maps, Survey123) preferred.
• Experience with water quality instrumentation (YSI, HOBO) and basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of hydrologic and water quality data collection and quality assurance methods.
• Excellent technical writing and reporting skills.
• Comfortable working in field conditions, including remote or physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in field studies related to water quality, hydrology, and aquatic environments.
• Installation, calibration, and maintenance of water quality instrumentation.
• Collection and analysis of water, sediment, and biological samples.
• Conduct data management and analysis to support hydro quality and environmental studies.
• Prepare technical documentation, study plans, and environmental reports.
• Manage field logistics, project schedules, and data deliverables.
