Location: Remote – West Coast USA (Preferred base: CA – Los Angeles or San Diego)

Overview: ChemSpec Ltd., a proud member of the Safic-Alcan Group and a leading global specialty chemical distributor, is seeking an energetic and technically astute Technical Sales Manager to drive growth across the West Coast territory within our Cosmetic Division. This role blends technical expertise with commercial drive, supporting innovative personal care brands with high-performance raw material solutions.

CHEMSPEC, LTD. is a privately-held company, owned by Paris-based specialty chemical distribution group, SAFIC-ALCAN. CHEMSPEC’s corporate offices are located in Canton, Ohio. It is a specialty raw materials distributor, servicing the North American cosmetic ingredients industry and industrial polymer compounding markets.
CHEMSPEC’s parent company, SAFIC-ALCAN, is a leader in cosmetic ingredients distribution across Europe. In order for SAFIC-ALCAN to maintain this momentum and continue to grow its market-share, CHEMSPEC unveiled its Cosmetics Division in October 2015. Since its inception, the Cosmetics Division has seen positive growth and is consequently looking to expand and add a new a Technical Sales Manager to help support this business and continue to grow CHEMSPEC’s brand and product portfolio in the U.S. cosmetics Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and expand existing customer relationships while developing new business across the assigned territory (West Coast – WA, OR, CA, ID, UT, NV, AZ).
· Provide technical support and formulation guidance to cosmetic and personal care clients.
· Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
· Represent ChemSpec and Safic-Alcan at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences
· Regularly report sales activity, forecasting, and market intelligence to the US Sales & Marketing Director.

Qualifications:

· B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
· 3-5 years of technical sales experience in the cosmetics or personal care ingredients industry.
· Strong formulation knowledge and technical background in skin care, hair care, or color cosmetics preferred.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Self-motivated, result-oriented, and comfortable working remotely.
· Willingness to travel (approximately 50%) throughout the West Coast region.
