Job summary

Floyd T. Binns Middle in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Wellness Teacher for a one-year assignment. Under the school principal, you will plan and provide learning experiences that support the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth of students.

You will supervise students, monitor outcomes, and communicate with parents and staff while aligning with Culpeper County Public Schools’ curriculum and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field of education or the equivalent in credentialing, training and/or experience.
• Possess or qualify for a professional license and appropriate endorsement as presented by the Virginia Department of Education.
• Be recommended by the Division Superintendent and approved by the School Board.
• Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning experiences for students under the principal's direction.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes and communicate with students, parents, staff and community.
• Supervise students in various school settings and manage classroom procedures and safety.
• Prepare for classes and maintain records as required by policy and regulation.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and families.
