Job summary

Life Enriching Communities in Montgomery, OH is seeking a Part-Time Wellness Coordinator to design and lead exercise programming for older adults across our senior living communities. This role focuses on creating personalized exercise prescriptions and delivering engaging group classes (land and water) to residents.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in a health-related field, with coursework in exercise science, gerontology, and health promotion, and has experience with older

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a health-related or gerontology field with coursework in Exercise Prescription, Exercise Physiology, Gerontology, Health Promotion/Education, and Wellness.
  • Experience in exercise programming for older adults.
  • Certifications CPR, Basic Water Safety, Group Fitness or Personal Training obtainable within 6 months.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Ability to produce basic reports using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a health related or gerontology field, with course work that minimally includes: Exercise Prescription, Exercise Physiology, Gerontology, Health Promotion/Education, and Wellness, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in exercise programming and working with the older adult population as it relates to exercise and wellness.
  • Possess or can obtain, within the first 6 months of employment, the following certifications:
    • CPR
    • Basic Water Safety
    • Group Fitness or Personal Training
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Ability to produce basic reports, using Microsoft Office
  • Personally reflect an image of wellness and live out the six dimensions of wellness.
  • Demonstrate a familiarity with the relationship between exercise and other wellness programming and the older adult.
