Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking an Associate Director of Wellness and Recreation for Programming to lead wellness initiatives, outdoor programs, and campus events. The role oversees facilities at the Wellness and Recreation Center, staff development, partnerships, and budget management in a dynamic university setting.

The position reports to the Director of Wellness and Recreation, with a focus on strategic planning, assessment, and flexible programming.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with overall leadership, administration, strategic planning, and daily operation of the Department of Wellness and Recreation.
• Supervise and develop assigned full-time staff and student employees.
• Provide leadership for wellness programming, health promotion initiatives, outdoor adventures, and events.
• Manage facility operations for Wellness and Recreation spaces to ensure safe, welcoming environments.
• Oversee budgets, purchasing, contracts, and vendor management for the department.
• Develop policies, risk management practices, and compliance with university policies.
