Job summary

The Sumner County YMCA in Middle Tennessee is seeking a Wellness Floor Attendant to welcome members, assist with equipment use, and support their wellness goals. This part-time role emphasizes friendly service and creating a positive workout atmosphere.

You will help maintain a clean, safe Wellness Center, assist new users, and encourage participation in YMCA wellness programs while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service or fitness experience is a bonus.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for healthy living.

Responsibilities

• Greet members in the Wellness Center and help them feel confident and comfortable with workouts.
• Guide members on proper equipment use and safety.
• Recommend wellness programs and offer encouragement to support fitness journeys.
• Keep the Wellness Center clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll be the friendly face greeting our members in the Wellness Center, helping them feel confident and comfortable with their workouts. From guiding members on proper equipment use to recommending wellness programs and offering encouragement, you’ll play a key role in their fitness journeys. You’ll also ensure the space stays clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior customer service or fitness experience is a bonus

Certifications Required:

• CPR Pro/AED and First Aid within 30 days of hire
• YMCA wellness and safety certifications within 90 days
