Job summary

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is hiring a Health Fitness Professional for client sites in New York City. This flexible, as-needed role delivers fitness and wellness programs, engages members, and promotes a welcoming center environment.

Shifts vary (6:00am-2:00pm, 8:30am-4:30pm, 11:30am-7:30pm) or 4-hour options, with a focus on high-quality service, safety, and participant outcomes while promoting healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science, or 2+ years in fitness/wellness.
• OSHA compliant First Aid/CPR/AED from a recognized provider.
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises facility operations and ensures equipment safety and participant safety.
• Delivers individual and group exercise instruction with proper technique guidance.
• Leads health improvement programs and promotions; conducts health education seminars.
• Conducts fitness testing and designs personalized programs.
• Outreach to increase participation and re-engage inactive participants.
• Coordinates internship programs and supervises student interns.
