Job summary

WorkCare, Inc. is seeking a Wellness Specialist / Exercise Physiologist to plan, coordinate, and deliver holistic workplace wellness initiatives, including non-diagnostic fitness assessments and EKG-monitored treadmill testing, to support health promotion and employee engagement.

The role combines onsite visits with virtual programming and uses digital wellness tools; you will lead education sessions, track participation, and collaborate with regional teams to ensure compliant, evidence-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, health sciences, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification as an Exercise Physiologist or equivalent credential preferred.
• Training and demonstrated competency in EKG-monitored treadmill exercise testing required.
• Office ergonomic assessment experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in workplace wellness, fitness assessment, exercise testing and health promotion.
• Experience functioning independently in a client facing or regional support role strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite and virtual wellness programs addressing stress management, mental well‑being, injury prevention, physical activity, sleep, ergonomics, disease prevention, tobacco cessation, and related topics.
• Serve as the primary wellness contact for assigned clients or locations, building relationships with employees and stakeholders.
• Facilitate group education sessions, workshops, wellness challenges, and special events tailored to workforce needs.
• Adapt approved wellness programming and engagement strategies to client culture and demographics.
