Job summary

Salt Lake County’s Division of Community Health Services seeks an employee to support wellness initiatives across departments and audiences. You will develop evidence-based educational content, manage program data and respond to employee inquiries, coordinate events and teach classes to deliver accessible wellness resources.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in health education or related field, plus ability to pass a background check and RAP Back enrollment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Health Science, Public Health, Community Health, or Behavioral Science with emphasis in Health Education; or equivalent.
• Background check and RAP Back program enrollment required.
• Utah driver’s license required at hire; license must be obtained within 6 months to operate county vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans and implements health education, behavior risk reduction, and outreach programs.
• Assesses health education needs and priorities of diverse populations.
• Develops, conducts and evaluates health education/health promotion programs.
• Creates marketing and educational materials; promotes events across marketing channels.
• Collaborates with internal and community agencies to meet objectives.
• Prepares required reports and documents.
