An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Wellness Coordinator to oversee healthcare operations within a vibrant community. The Wellness Coordinator manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met. They ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity, providing quality care as needs change. The coordinator maintains consistent quality resident care and service delivery across all shifts, which may include assuming roles such as Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide to meet staffing requirements.
Responsibilities include supervising licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers; providing ongoing training and education, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training; and managing staff schedules. The coordinator oversees medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision or administration, conducting periodic medication skills inventory checks and audits per Brookdale Guidelines.
The role shares on-call duties as required. Education required includes a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) and 1-2 years of relevant experience. An LPN or LVN license is necessary.
