Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a fitness coach to join our team and help connect members with healthier lifestyles. You’ll assist on the fitness floor, teach proper equipment use, and foster a welcoming environment for people of all abilities.

The role offers weekend shifts and flexible work options, reflecting our nonprofit mission to strengthen the community through health and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Fitness experience preferred.
• Enjoyment from working with people on a fitness floor.
• Excitement about helping members learn new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Engage members to foster a safe and rewarding fitness experience.
• Build strong relationships with members and guests to support their fitness goals.
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean fitness floor.
• Provide a friendly and encouraging environment for members in the usage of fitness and wellness programs and services.
• Have an understanding and provide basic information to members on exercising and health and wellness.
