Job summary

The Wellness Assistant at Benedictine Health System enhances residents' quality of life through social, spiritual, and therapeutic wellness activities within the community. You will assist in developing wellness programming, facilitate daily events, and gather data to support assessments and care planning.

This role requires a High School diploma, experience in long-term care, and certifications such as BLS and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in long-term care setting preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• First Aid Certification required.
• If the person leading the program meets federal regulations §483.15(f)(2) qualifications as specified by state or accrediting bodies, or has 2 years of related social/recreational program experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the community’s wellness programming.
• Facilitate daily events and programming to meet resident needs.
• Perform data collection to support residents’ assessments.
• Assist in implementing the plan of care based on residents’ needs.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

BLS Certification
