Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant to join Southampton Manor Care Home in Hampshire. You will support residents with a range of activities designed to promote physical, cognitive, and social well-being, while upholding a caring, respectful environment.

In this role you will work closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator, help maintain a safe and welcoming setting, and contribute to the home’s community connections.

Qualifications

• Compassionate approach to engaging older residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Wellbeing Coordinator in planning and delivering activities to engage residents physically, cognitively, and socially.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold the home’s professional image.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
• Support with ordering and preparing supplies for activities and help establish links with local community groups.
