Job summary

Rwdy-Inc is seeking a Petroleum Engineer II to lead wellwork execution in Midland, TX. The role is onsite, full-time, with a one-year contract and a compensation of $120 per hour, negotiable by experience.

You will design and plan remedial workovers, monitor costs, and interface with operations and contractors. The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, at least five years in oil and gas with direct wellwork, and strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of five years of oil and gas experience, including at least three years of direct wellwork experience.
• Self-motivated and capable of integrating within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to well locations to oversee operations when necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and WellView.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and provide engineering execution support to post-completion wellwork operations, including remedial workovers and plug and abandonment.
• Liaise with Production Engineering to provide cost estimates and scope for opportunity evaluation.
• Develop procedures and provide design input for artificial lift systems.
• Interface with Operations for rig scheduling, execution support, and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with specialist contractors and suppliers regarding costs and equipment readiness.
• Monitor daily wellwork progress, track daily costs, and recommend cost-effective changes when necessary. Travel to company-designated sites as needed.
• Support wellwork spend forecasting and budget preparation.
• Track, analyze, and continually improve wellwork execution efficiency; manage contractor performance and steward WellView data quality.
