Job description

ModuSpec and partner OTC have developed industry leading digital solutions to provide enhanced surveillance and continual assurance of blow out preventers (BOP) during operations and predictive digital pressure testing (DPT).

These digital products deliver value to our clients during live operations enabling rapid intervention before issues escalade to avoid non‑productive time, coupled with efficient BOP testing through the GreenLight predictive pressure testing software.

These digital products will be delivered in the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) during 2026 with expected changes to the regulations to allow change from 14 to 21 day pressure testing. The real‑time monitoring (RTM) of BOPs adds value to surface and subsea BOPs stacks as well as other critical equipment including intervention systems managed pressure drilling (MPD) and new technology including kinetic‑enabled BOPs.

Location:

Primarily within Norway with occasional travel to clients based within Europe, Middle East and Africa as opportunities present. Part‑time will also be considered.

Reporting line:

Reports to Regional Director – EMEA & Global RTM Director.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Business development & strategic planning: Support the strategic planning of RTM & DPT digital products, liaising with management and business development to identify opportunities for growth, improvement and innovation.
  • Technical expertise: Act as a well control subject matter expert, to support clients to understand and action live case management items, daily reports, end of well reports etc. Supporting clients during incident response, coordinating with the Houston‑based real‑time monitoring centre and client, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards and best practices.
  • Project management: Support project management processes for RTM and DPT, from initial client discussion to check feasibility of installation, collaborating with the rig owner and then supporting awareness training of the crew and stakeholders. Receive regular feedback from clients to ensure the highest standard of service delivery is achieved.
  • Customer service: Ensure exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a timely manner. Work closely with the business development to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Market reporting and analytics: Support management to prepare reports and presentations for internal or external use, related to RTM and DPT market, performance indicators, operational metrics and client requirements. Provide strategic insights based on the market data to drive informed decision‑making.

Qualifications, experience & knowledge:

  • Proven experience of well control equipment and systems including maintenance, pressure testing, operations and risk mitigation.
  • Understanding of monitoring technologies, incident response protocols, and industry best practices including Norwegian compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities, including team building, coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong network within the operator and drilling contractor community in Norway, including senior and mid‑level management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering)
  • Having experience with real‑time monitoring of blowout preventers (BOPs) or on other critical equipment, to enhance equipment health and reliability and utilise data analytics to support our clients in shifting from reactive to predictive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards for well control equipment globally and within the NCS.
  • Experience with quality assurances processes, data analysis and performance measurement.
