Job summary

Voith US Inc. in York, PA is seeking a Welder Trainee to support our North American Hydro division, welding various thicknesses and grades of steel on one-off components for some of the largest hydroelectric machines in the world.

The program is designed to prepare the employee for a Grinder Specialist position and includes ASME welder qualifications and exposure to multiple welding processes such as GMAW and FCAW.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) preferred.
• Welding certifications or ability to pass ASME qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld 2G position for SST and CS materials.
• Perform arc welding and back gouging; conduct NDE as required.
