Job summary

River Parishes Community College seeks a Welding Technology Instructor to provide classroom and hands-on welding instruction across campuses (Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, St. Charles). The 9-month, full-time role requires delivering theory and lab work, maintaining safety standards, and guiding students toward industry credentials.

Teaching may be in-person, hybrid, or online formats with day/evening/weekend sessions, and participation in campus committees and student advising is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Technical Diploma in Welding and three (3) years of experience in the field; OR at least five (5) years of welding and cutting experience.
• Proficient in multiple welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding theory and hands-on lab instruction.
• Prepare students for employment in welding and related industries.
• Maintain safe laboratory and shop practices.
