Job summary

BorgWarner Emissions Systems Spain SL is seeking an assembler/welder to set up and weld Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring components using a Line 15 Welder. You will rework assemblies with quality issues and turn adjustment rings on a CNC machine to the correct diameter.

Responsibilities include loading welds, inspecting for defects, verifying dimensions, and maintaining equipment and safety standards on the production line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift license if applicable.
• Two years’ experience in assembly.
• Uses hand tools and production equipment appropriate to the work performed.
• Basic blueprint reading and SPC knowledge required.
• Completion of welding technical training preferred.
• Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Setup Line 15 welder for model of product needed.
• Load and weld Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring components.
• Unload assemblies and inspect for quality issues and weld cracks per blueprint.
• Verify all dimensions on adjustment ring OD and RO per blueprint.
• Operate equipment to high production and quality standards.
• Make necessary adjustments to insure a quality product is produced.
• Change filament in welder and clean welder vacuum tube as needed.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions and safety issues.
• Transport completed material using proper handling methods.
• Keep work area clean and organized; observe safety/shop rules.
• Attendance on the job is essential.
