Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation in Dodge Center, MN, seeks a Welder to join the McNeilus production team building refuse truck bodies. You will weld and assemble parts, read blueprints or measurements, and ensure quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $21–$28.34/hour with performance-based raises and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k). Training and advancement opportunities are available within a growing, mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Pass weld test (pre-employment or via internal program).
• Ability to start and run a welder.
• Ability to perform tasks at one station with minimal defects.
• Willingness to learn to change welding wire.

Responsibilities

• Heat and form metal parts and components using welding equipment.
• Position materials to be welded.
• Operate an overhead crane safely to move parts.
• Adjust welding current for proper weld configurations.
• Read measuring devices accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per 6S standards.
• Train and work in various production areas as needed.
