Job summary

Qualifications

  • Educational requirements per ACC standards include degrees in Metals Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Art; or an Associate in Welding Technology with 3 years non-teaching experience.
  • Minimum three years non-teaching welding industry experience.
  • Ability to pass welding tests in various materials and processes.
  • Strong commitment to safety, diversity, and student success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach Welding Technology courses to a multicultural student population based on approved course outcomes.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback aligned with outcomes.
  • Provide teaching and mentoring without discrimination across protected groups.
  • Maintain welding equipment and lab technology.
  • Demonstrate welding proficiency by welding in various positions using modern inverter-type equipment.
