Technique, Inc. in Concord, North Carolina, is seeking a Welder to support the quality assurance team with part layouts and inspections, and to complete welding assemblies to customer requirements.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, print reading, and AWS certification, with 1–2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting. Ideal candidates will have experience with robotic welders, CMM reports, and the ability to read blueprints and GD&T notation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• AWS Certification required.
• 1–2 years welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T notation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and use MIG/TIG welding equipment to weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints.
• Assemble exhaust assemblies, racks, and prototyping fixtures.
• Perform 1st piece layouts and troubleshoot builds using CMM reports to get a good first piece.
• Maintain accurate job documentation for all production runs.
• Load and run robot welder and perform repairs on assemblies after robot.
• Investigate and correct issues found during a build and/or inspection of an assembly.
• Ensure products shipped meet internal and customer requirements per CMM reports, blueprints, and AWS specifications.
• Other duties as assigned by the Welding Manager.

Job description

Technique is looking for a Welder to join our team in Concord, North Carolina facility. The employee will support the quality assurance team with part layouts and inspections, requiring knowledge of GD&T and print reading, and will complete welding assemblies to customer requirements.

The ideal candidate brings 1–2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting, with AWS Certification and the ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T notation. Experience with robotic welders and troubleshooting builds using CMM reports are critical factors in this role.

Responsibilities:
