Job summary

Aaon Coil Products Inc. in Redmond, OR is seeking a Weld Helper on the D-Shift to support welders by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining a safe work area. The role includes assisting Welder I/II, reading basic blueprints, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced team environment.

You will assist in preparing workpieces, grinding, and cleaning as needed, while following safety procedures and helping train new helpers. Pay range and full-time benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Assist Welder I and II in welding tasks.
• Prepare workpieces by cleaning, grinding, and scraping.
• Set up welding equipment under supervision.
• Read and interpret basic welding blueprints and instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Assist in training and mentoring new helpers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Welder I and II in various welding tasks as directed.
• Prepares workpieces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and scraping as necessary.
• Helps set up welding equipment and tools under supervision.
• Handles and stores welding materials and equipment properly.
• Operates power tools and hand tools under guidance.
• Reads and interprets basic welding blueprints and instructions.
• Assists in tack welding components together for final welding.
• Supports Welder I and Welder II in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Learns and follows safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Assists in training and mentoring new helpers as needed.
