Job summary

McCarthy Fabrication LLC in Sanford, FL is seeking a Field Helper to support our Field Installers and welders on commercial and heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, layout, rigging, welding (SMAW 3G/4G, FCAW, GTAW), plasma cutting, finish work and field fabrication; also loading, unloading, and delivering projects. Must have a clean driving record, ability to lift 75+ pounds, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and following layouts.
• Rigging and basic field fabrication tasks.
• Welding in SMAW 3G/4G and FCAW/GTAW processes.
• Plasma cutting for fit-up and finishing.
• Finish work and final assembly at site.

Welding Shop/ Field Helper job at McCarthy Fabrication. Sanford, FL.

McCarthy Fabrication LLC is looking for motivated individual's to join our team. The position will require experience in commercial and heavy civil construction in regards to structural and ornamental steel work. This includes Reading blue prints, layout, Rigging, welding 3g&4g smaw, fcaw, gtaw plasma cutting, finish work and field fabrication. Safety is #1 and we required all employees to have good safe work practices.

You will be actively assisting our Field Installers/Welder fabricators in a wide variety of capacities that will include but are not limited to:

• Delivering completed projects to customers.
• Installing projects on site
• Loading and Unloading trucks.
• Grinding metal with angle grinders.
• Receiving deliveries from vendors, etc.

You must have:

• Clean Driving record and Criminal Background.
• Ability to work outside.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
• Ability to show up to work early and on time.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions.
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Ability to pull a loaded trailer
• Experience on construction job sites
• Familiarity with construction safety protocols
