Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a motivated welder to advance welding excellence on the First Shift. You will assist production and engineering in welded connections, learning and applying technical welding principles while improving quality, productivity and safety.

You will perform visual inspections, review prints, train new welders, support ECN/CRF processes, and contribute to root-cause analysis of warranty issues.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Technical or skilled-trade welding program preferred.
  • Experience with welding standards and codes encouraged.
  • Welder certification (CWI/CWS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Visual weld inspection and weldment auditing with leadership review.
  • Suggest process improvements and quantify cost savings for investments.
  • Review ECN prints and create related CRFs; support new product launches.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to welders; aid qualification.
  • Perform root cause analysis of weld failures and warranty issues.
  • Document inspection results, welder qualifications, and process improvements.

Education

High School Diploma
Technical School or skilled trade program in welding technology
Welding credentials (CWI/CWS) or FCAW/GMAW-S qualifications
