Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years of full-time welding/fabrication experience.
• Ability to read welding symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain prior to instruction.
• NCCER instructor qualifications or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction per approved outlines and NCCER curriculum.
• Teach welding safety, equipment setup, and welding symbols.
• Provide hands-on instruction for SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW.
• Prepare lesson plans, lab exercises, and activities.
• Demonstrate safe use of machines, PPE, and tools.
• Evaluate student progress via assessments and demonstrations.
• Maintain NCCER records and attendance documentation.
• Ensure welding lab safety and organization.
• Communicate with staff regarding progress and equipment needs.
• Stay current with welding tech and industry trends.
