Job summary

Charter College in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Full-Time Welding Instructor to train the next generation of welders, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus and competitive compensation.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years welding experience, AWS CWI certification, and the ability to deliver lectures and labs, supervise equipment and inventories, support student progress, and participate in program development with the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years welding experience.
• AWS CWI certification and related welding training.
• Broad knowledge of welding applications, procedures, specs and metallurgy.
• Proficient computer skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction.
• Follow curriculum, objectives and evaluation mechanisms.
• Maintain daily lesson plans and monitor attendance.
• Grade assignments and return results in a timely manner.
• Provide student support during scheduled times (office hours).
• Advise students on school policies and performance.
• Maintain equipment and inventory in secured facilities.
• Coordinate with Program Manager on textbook and equipment needs.
• Attend mandatory meetings and participate in committees.
