Job summary

Wisconsin Department of Corrections seeks an educator to develop and implement CTE-focused educational services for male and/or female juveniles. The teacher will deliver individual and group instruction, evaluate progress, and provide remediation and academic support, while maintaining documentation and attending staffings.

The role requires certification eligibility in Technology Education or Welding, with related licensure expected within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Certification or eligibility for certification in Technology Education through DPI or certification eligibility for Welding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program of educational services for the juvenile offender population.
• Provide individual and group instruction and evaluate student progress.
• Prescribe remediation and academic support services and complete all required documentation.
• Evaluate academic records in a timely manner and monitor student behavior.
• Attend relevant institutional staffings and meetings.
