Lincoln Tech in Houston is seeking an experienced Welding Educator to teach Welding Technologies classes and provide hands-on training in a fully equipped facility. The role emphasizes safety, student growth, and preparing graduates for in-demand careers in welding.

The position requires a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of field welding experience across MIG, TIG, Stick, flux-cored arc and plasma cutting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field welding experience in pipe and structural welding.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, FCAW and plasma cutting in real-world settings.
  • Ability to teach and mentor students; no prior teaching required.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech's accredited program.
  • Provide hands-on welding training in a fully equipped facility.
  • Emphasize safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Support student growth and accountability in the classroom.
  • Motivate and engage students to foster interest in welding careers.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide clear feedback.
  • Prepare students for successful careers in Welding Technology.

While prior teaching experience is not required, we offer comprehensive training to ensure your success in this role. Your expertise and passion for welding will be instrumental in educating and mentoring the next generation of skilled professionals. Key Responsibilities Of Welding Educator
  • Teach Welding Technologies Classes: Deliver lessons using Lincoln Tech's accredited training program, ensuring comprehensive understanding of welding principles.
  • Provide Hands-on Training: Offer practical welding experience in our fully equipped facility, focusing on skill development for students.
  • Emphasize Safety and Compliance: Teach students the critical importance of safety procedures and industry standards in the welding field.
  • Support Student Growth: Foster an environment that encourages professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Motivate and Engage Students: Create a positive and interactive classroom atmosphere to enhance student learning and enthusiasm.
  • Evaluate and Communicate Progress: Regularly assess student performance and provide clear feedback on their progress.
  • Prepare Students for Successful Careers: Equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a successful and in-demand career in Welding Technology.
Key Requirements Of Welding Educator
