Job summary

Porter and Chester Institute in the United States seeks welding instructors to provide quality instruction, prepare classes, assess learning, and document student progress while supporting academic success. No prior teaching experience required; training will be provided.

Candidates must have 3+ years as a licensed welder and knowledge of GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, and plasma. Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a licensed welder (not including apprenticeship) required.
• Understanding of welding industry - GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, and Plasma.
• Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Great interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction to students through well prepared classes and relevant assignments.
• Fair assessment of learning and clear documentation of student progress.
• Support of the academic success for all students and mentoring as needed.

Sign-on Bonus- $1500.00

Welding Instructors are responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, and support of the academic success for all students.

No teaching experience required. Training will be provided.
