Job summary

Great Basin Industrial is seeking a safe, reliable Welder/Fitter to join our fabrication team in Plymouth, UT. The role involves fitting, assembling, and welding components to drawings and work instructions, with multiple level opportunities based on skill and independence.

You will read blueprints, perform basic shop math, set up fabrication equipment, and ensure weld quality meets standards. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Able to perform basic shop math and measure with tapes.
• Must pass welding tests appropriate to level.
• Strong communication in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete shop fabrication by fitting, assembling, and welding per drawings and work instructions.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment; weld in multiple positions.
• Inspect fit-up and weld quality to meet standards.
• Assist with layout, parts prep, and shop cleanup as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and proper PPE usage.
• Collaborate with supervisors and coworkers to meet deadlines.
