Kingfisher Recruiting is assisting a reputable technical training program in the Rocky Mountains by adding a Welding & Fabrication Instructor. This leadership role blends mentoring with hands-on teaching: SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, CNC plasma, and digital shop tools, along with safety, layout, and project grading.

We seek a candidate with 7+ years in welding/fabrication, strong communication, and comfort with curriculum development. AWS/API certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional welding & fabrication experience.
• Background in blueprint reading, cutting techniques, and shop safety.
• Familiarity with CNC and digital shop tools; embraces learning.
• Able to communicate effectively and work in a team.
• Industry certifications (AWS, API) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) through lectures and hands‑on shop work.
• Demonstrate equipment usage including CNC plasma tables and automated cutters.
• Support students with shop safety, accurate measuring, layout, and cutting.
• Contribute to curriculum development and grading using software.

They’re seeking an experienced welder or metal fabricator who’s ready to move from the shop floor into a meaningful leadership role training the next generation of tradespeople.
