Vigor Industrial LLC in Seattle seeks a Welding Procedures Engineer to ensure proper procedures for Commercial, Government and Facilities contracts. You will analyze needs, develop documentation, and publish results for production welding teams.
The role requires extensive welding experience, ASME/AISC quality program familiarity, and the ability to travel between Vigor facilities. A Bachelor’s in Welding Engineering is required.

SALARY RANGE: $110,000 – 128,000

The individual will be required to work with union and admin on shop floor and in meetings. He/she will be required to hold training classes and must be comfortable with public speaking.
NDT certification in accordance with ASNT or CWI certification is recommended.
Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced office setting with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the shipyard. 40% normal office environment; 60% of time spent in production areas in yard and aboard ships. The individual may be required to be in production areas in yard and onboard ships. He/she must be able to walk to and from job sites. The person must be able to climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders; to enter confined areas and tanks; to work at heights. The incumbent must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl, twist and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. He/she may be required to work more than 8-hour shifts and weekend work.
